Well written and accurate piece. Well done! I've not even managed to read the report yet. But I've been telling people this for years. The problem is it is so integrated into the lives, livelihoods and sense of "normalcy" within the so called "developed world" that it becomes very difficult to convince people that they are directly complicit in such evil when all they think they are doing is enjoying their freedom or making a living. I do get a bit frustrated at times with the tendency of people to say "Free Gaza, Free Palestine" when there is so much consumer normalcy in their lives that is perpetuating the oppression and genocide. But I also can empathize a little because the mechanisms are often very subtle and cleverly hidden from view. How many of us still use YouTube for example? Or purchase things from Amazon? Or download that new app from Google play?
The web of deceit and duplicity runs deep and it seems we are at a tipping point now when those who are serious about boycott shall be obvious and those who are just "virtue signaling" shall become exposed. Because if we are serious about boycotting Israel then we shall by necessity have to completely disrupt and deconstruct our entire lifestyles and societies.
Activism, or that is to say meaningful dissent, isn't a part time hobby anymore than an indication of what a "nice" person you are.
It's sickening that our economy is based on death and destruction. It's cruelty is business as usual, and the whole model needs to change. Thanks for an outstanding post, Ahmad.
This is an amazing piece. Thank you for compiling this 🙏🏼🤍
Over 400,000 have been murdered. Let’s face facts.

It's a necessity.
It's a way of life.
Like you said, it can be dismantled. We have to work towards that
This is one of the most painful articles I have read this week - painful but necessary to know. Thank you.

Thank you, Ahmad. Your words are so powerful and illustrate how unreal this all feels when the evidence is literally in front of their faces.
Powerful writing piece.
Thank you.
